About Exam
The Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak for admission into their 5-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM). This program allows students to join an IIM directly after Class 12 and earn a BBA + MBA degree. The exam tests Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA), and Logical Reasoning (LR) (only for IIM Rohtak).
Selection is based on IPMAT scores, Personal Interview (PI), and past academics. With excellent career prospects and IIM’s prestigious brand, IPMAT is a great choice for students aspiring to build a career in management.

How to Prepare for the IPMAT Exam
1. Understand the Exam Pattern & Syllabus
- Sections: Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA), and Logical Reasoning (for IIM Rohtak).
- Question Types: MCQs + Short Answer (IIM Indore).
- Duration: Typically 90–120 minutes.
2. Build a Strong Foundation in Quantitative Ability (QA)
- Focus on Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Probability, and Data Interpretation.
- Practice higher-level questions from Class 11 & 12.
- Time yourself while solving questions to improve speed.
3. Master Verbal Ability (VA)
- Improve reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and para jumbles.
- Read newspapers and novels to enhance comprehension.
- Practice mock tests for speed and accuracy.
4. Develop Logical Reasoning (For IIM Rohtak)
- Focus on blood relations, coding-decoding, puzzles, and seating arrangements.
- Solve previous years’ papers for better clarity.
5. Take Regular Mock Tests & Analyze Performance
- Solve IPMAT past papers & full-length mocks weekly.
- Analyze mistakes and work on weak areas.
6. Time Management & Accuracy
- Practice solving questions within time constraints.
- Improve accuracy to reduce negative marking.
7. Stay Consistent & Revise Regularly
- Maintain a study schedule and revise formulas/concepts daily.
- Keep track of your progress and refine your strategy accordingly.
